New Restaurant: Bedford and Berry

Last night I sampled what seemed like every single cocktail at the new Williamsburg spot Bedford and Berry. The restaurant has a beautiful, worn-in feel thanks to antique touches like Edison light bulbs, large photos created from negatives found in antique stores, and vintage armchairs. All the decor was picked out by chef/owner Coby Farrow, who has created an eclectic menu featuring everything from frog legs to prawn ravioli.
The space also has a small stage where the restaurant plans to feature live acoustic performances, and a table in back that can be removed to set up a DJ booth.
What sets Bedford and Berry apart from other restaurants in the neighborhood is its late-night offerings, especially its fresh homemade cookies and rum-spiked milk. The bar stays open after the dinner service stops, so Williamsburg partiers can munch on cookies or sip on a Sixto (French press coffee, Baileys, Kahlua and Drambuie) until 4am.
Now if you'll excuse me I need to go find some Advil ...

This is an awful restaurant. As a matter of fact, on Citysearch's main site, it looks like the owner and their friends have posted all of the positive reviews for this place. The frog legs were disturbingly bad, my date had them. I got sick from the UNDERCOOKED salmon burger!!!!! Who wants to get food poisoning when they go out!? On top of it, we were overcharged and they had to fix our bill three times. We also thought the decor was sooooo freaking cheap!!! Did the owner open the place up with $1000 or something? It's way lame, stay away.

What a bad experience at B&B. A no-name chef, a caveman's menu and a sad attempt at hipster fame, save your duckets folks. My girls and I sat down and upon the looks of the place, just got one drink each, and left. I read the reviews on Citysearch and thought it maybe good. But, it looks like the owner got his hands on a few comments and twisted reality around. Place bites. Literally.

I appreciate your honest post here on. As hard as it is to believe, it is possible you overlooked the few things in question. It would appear it has become a little out of hand with a so much of information to manage about. As a experienced person of nearly 15 years, i must say i totally agree with you on.
