A Look Inside the Target Bullseye Bodegas

Bodegaentrance

Several weeks ago we alerted you to the Target Bullseye Bodegas, four pop-up shops that will be up from Sep. 12-15. I went to a preview event this morning and generally liked what I saw. There are 22 designers currently collaborating with Target, and visitors to the bodegas will get a crack at the merchandise before it heads out to stores across the country. The John Derian homewares (below) were by far the most impressive items for sale, followed by the $50 Anya Hindmarch bags. From our previous post:

The Bullseye Bodegas will be open from 10am-10pm from September 11-14, and are located in midtown (101 57th Street at 6th Ave), Union Square (813 Broadway between 11th and 12th Streets), Soho (489 Broome Street between Wooster and West Broadway) and the East Village (325 Bowery at 2nd Street).

More pics after the jump ...

$10 used to pay for a prix fixe brunch, a movie ticket or a fancy cocktail; these days, a 10-spot won't even cover a cab across town. But once in a while you can actually get something worthwhile for your hard-earned money. Case in point: Live Nation is offering a "back to school special," with a limited number of tickets to assorted NYC concerts available at the special discounted rate of just $10. Anyone can take advantage of the deal (not just students), which starts tomorrow at 10am and runs through Friday, September 12th at 10pm. Participating venues include Roseland Ballroom, Hammerstein Ballroom, The Fillmore, The Blender Theater and Warsaw in Brooklyn. Visit Live Nation's website to purchase tickets--and move fast, before your Hamiltons become virtually worthless again.

The internet continues to erode the importance of brick-and-mortar stores. Now they've even taken away the simple joy of elbowing someone in the spine during a frenzied sample sale. All you have to do these days is visit your favorite boutique online, enter a special code, and BAM! A Jill Stuart top for 30 percent off.

The Union Square boutique Owl's Lab is having a big sale on their entire stock of hip, on-trend womenswear including labels like Mike & Chris, Sonia Rykiel, Vena Cava, Elizabeth and James, and much more. Simply log onto the Owl's Lab website and enter the code hc08 at checkout, and voila--30 percent off. In an age where we can spend hundreds of dollars with a click of a button and where Korean babies can sing all of "Hey Jude," it truly feels like anything is possible.

Of course, if you really want to shove someone in the face, there's always the Barneys Warehouse Sale.
