Our favorite show is currently shooting around the corner from the IAC Building at 1 Oak. They'll be there 'til 10pm, and although we saw only the empty chairs marked "Chuck," "Serena" and "Blair," above, others in our building say they walked by and saw the whole GG cast on 17th Street ...

Shark Week takes Soho by storm

In the latest attempt at quirky advertising stunts, New Yorkers who happened to be walking by the corner of Prince and Broadway this morning were greeted with the bizarre Shark Week promotion pictured above. As the lifeguard (and perhaps struggling model/actor) directed people to "Beware" and "Stay close to shore," his excessively-bubbly sidekick on the ground handed out shark-shaped visors to curious passersby--proving once again that it doesn't really matter what you're handing out, so long as it's free.

And in case you somehow missed it, Shark Week starts Sunday, July 27 on the Discovery channel.

Hair care is crucial, especially during the mercilessly humid summer months when typically obedient strands give way to unwanted poof and frizz. But who wants to forgo a portion of their summer cocktail fund for a pricey salon blowout? Nobody. The solution? A free professional blowout, of course.

And don't forget to grab a Nexxus gift bag before you leave.
