Pre-Fashion Week Shopping

Because I plan on winning the lottery in the near future, I decided to visit the Marc by Marc Jacobs store in the West Village. Marc by Marc Jacobs is his more casual line, meaning you will just have to go into minor credit card debt to pay for your clothes instead of robbing people on the street (your Stam Bag or your life!). Marc has always done a good job of giving as much attention to the men's line as to the women's, and it seemed like an ideal place to find something new for Fashion Week. I know by now saying you like Marc Jacobs is like saying you like ice cream, or the sun; I mean, who doesn't? But I still have to profess my love for his clothes. They make me think of an aging history professor who secretly goes out at night and spins at local bars. Ultimately, I found myself a green cardigan, which I'm wearing in my profile picture as I read some well-deserved Tolkien (Run Frodo! The depths of Khazad-dum are no place for a hobbit!). Anyway, I like the sweater because I feel I would be equally at home wearing it at Fashion Week as I would at an old folks home. Maybe tonight I'll combine both experiences by drinking a mojito while watching Murder She Wrote.
