Waverly Inn

We haven't blogged yet about Waverly Inn, the red-hot restaurant owned by Vanity Fair Editor Graydon Carter that's currently in a soft opening. The reason: It's been nearly impossible to find out much information about it, especially how to score a reservation before it officially opens some time early next year. The listed phone number goes to a fax machine, and the only people scoring tables are pals of Carter and the occasional lucky walk-in. Then, last week, Eater hinted at an email address for reservations, but opted not to reveal it. Fortunately, the New York Observer blew the lid today: fritz@waverlynyc.com. Whether this email address works for more than the next 10 minutes is anyone's guess, but we can tell you what the automated response is:
Hello,
Thank you for writing. As we
continue to work on the restaurant we are only accepting reservations
from friends, family and neighbors. Would you be kind enough to reply
with a brief description of your relation to The Waverly? If we cannot
accommodate you at this very moment, we will be certain to keep your
email address on file and notify you when we open our doors early next
year.
Fritz
NOTES:
- We will be open for Thanksgiving from 2:00pm to Midnight and serving our preview menu with a special Thanskgiving dish.
-
All reservations requests submitted to Fritz take 60 minutes to process
and are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation response.
- IMPORTANT: No email requests are accepted for the same day after 4pm.
