It's not every day I get to interview a porn star. But a couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to speak with legendary adult film star Nina Hartley and ask her what her favorite things were about New York and L.A. for a series Citysearch is doing called Celeb-Rated (not surprisingly, this is where celebrities say where they like to hang out). Anyway, back to Nina. She's awesome, and she turned me on to a few places I'd never been to in New York, among them the Swedish coffehouse Fika in midtown and Barker Black for menswear in Soho. Nina also had great things to say about the new sex shop in town, Kiki de Montparnasse, also in Soho and a favorite in our Best of Citysearch adult novelty polls.

"An incredibly high-end sex boutique that's pretty amazing. I couldn't afford hardly anything in there, but to go around and see 1,000 quartz sex toys. Oh boy I can't imagine spending that much on stuff like that … but it's art, you can leave it on your table."
