Kim Kardashian will host a party tonight at Room Service to celebrate the season premiere of her E! reality show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." We're told that bottle service is highly recommended, "if you want to party next to the perennial party girl."

Looking for something to do this weekend that's lower on the maintenance, higher on the heavy boozing? How about the 10th annual St. Patty's Day pub crawl. Thirty bars all across the city are participating in this year's event by offering $1 Bud Light drafts and $2 well drinks to all crawlers. The festivities commence on Saturday at noon and resume on Monday at 5pm--which means you'll have ample time to celebrate St. Patrick's Day before you get fired on Tuesday for coming to work drunk. Again.

If you're not interested in an organized pub crawl but you do want to get drunk on Monday, consult our official guide to St. Patrick's Day. And finally, for more things to do, check out our weekly Hot List of events. No, seriously--check it out. If I have to update it every day, the least you can do is feign interest.

The Epochs, also known as the band that won the Eclipse Sets the Stage Competition--in which contestants vied for a $10,000 "stipend" and a chance to perform at this year's CMJ Music Marathon--will open for Norwegian electro-rock band Datarock on Thursday at the Blender Theater. Read the listing for additional info, not the least of which pertains to the  open bar (for editors and VIPs only... the rest of you will have to slum it. Sorry).

For more CMJ and other events, check the Hot List.

CMJ Music Marathon, October 16-20: The Fun Starts Tomorrow

It's that time of year again, the time when starry-eyed collegians, music industry vets, writers, photogs and the all-the-might-that-is-the-PR-Machine converge upon the city's many live music venues for five days of musical madness at the CMJ Music Marathon.

As usual, the list of performers is insanely long, and don't be surprised if you've never heard of half (or virtually all) of the acts. But unless you're totally worthless in the contemporary music department, surely you'll be familiar with at least some of the headliners, like Tribe Called Quest alum Q-Tip, plus Spoon, KRS-One and M.I.A.

I'll be there, blogging about some of the shows, but for more info on featured CMJ events. peruse the weekly Hot List, and don't forget to check back on Imbible throughout the week for the scoop on festival-related parties and other showcases.

Dear Abby: Where Should We Get Wasted This Weekend?

Earlier this week, I received the following email from a Citysearch reader:

A group of my girlfriends and I are coming to NY next weekend, Oct. 5-7.  I am trying to plan some fun NY things to do while we are there over the weekend, birthday events (i.e. dinner & nightclub/lounge), big shows/events, and whatever else we can do in advance.  Do you have any recommendations for a group of 7 outgoing, fashionable, fun ladies?

First of all, seven fun, outgoing and fashionable ladies aren't going to have a problem finding a party in NY--in fact, they could probably just stand on a corner and wait for the party to come to them. But, I've also come up with some more concrete suggestions.

Start by checking out this weekend's Big Night Out planner, where we choose a restaurant, bar and event that'll make for a perfect night. This weekend's selections include dinner at MoBay Uptown in Harlem--watch out for Bill Clinton; he's got an office down the block and he'd like nothing more than to run into seven lovely ladies from out of town--followed by the Arcade Fire show at Randall's Island (tickets are still available) and drinks at Lenox Lounge.

Harlem and indie rock concerts not exactly what you had in mind? Check out our list of New & Notable bars. Maybe you'd like to get drunk and go bowling at The Gutter, cruise for booze at Forum, or try your luck with the door Nazis at Socialista--though we don't recommend that, unless you happen to be a group of models and/or celebrities, in which case we should be the ones asking for your advice.

For more ideas, peruse our weekly Hot List of events, New & Notable restaurants, shopping, top dance clubs and Meatpacking District bars and clubs. And remember: No matter what destinations you ultimately choose, if you go to a place that serves liquor, and you drink that liquor, odds are it'll be the best night of your life.

The CMJ Music Marathon isn't for another two weeks, but in the meantime, there's no shortage of concerts and parties to attend. Check out our weekly Hot List of events and get the scoop on upcoming shows, events and even the occasional arts and culture item (just in case my mom reads this). Here's a taste of some of some of what's going on this week ...

Bonde do Role + Flavorpill + Museum + Booze = Drunk hipsters lost on the UWS

You needn't spend your summers in Nantucket to know that parties at museums are automatically classier than parties not at museums. And thanks to cultural savant extraordinaire Flavorpill, even vagrant hipsters can get crunk at a museum party without having to shower first or prove that they belong to a country club. This Friday, Flavorpill hosts its latest One Step Beyond event at the Museum of Natural History, featuring food, drinks and live performances by uber-cool Brazilian Baile funk rockers Bonde do Role, plus hip-hop sets by King Britt and Plastic Little. There's also some complimentary movie screening about space, but since this is the booze blog I'll spare you the details. Tickets are $20 at the door, so if you still want in, just ask someone how to get to the Upper West Side from Williamsburg and check the full event listing for other details you should know before you go. And if that doesn't float your cultural boat, we have a whole host of events on our weekly Hot List.
